Odessa, Texas Is Looking to Buy Large Underground Pool of Brackish Water
Water experts believe that there is enough salt and mineral rich brackish water in an underground pool to last for 173 years, and Odessa wants to buy it.
Using the water would require acquisition of a sizable desalination plant. The only other Texas city with a desalination plant is El Paso.
